Wayne Beaman
Home Up

WIth much sadness,  we acknowledge that Wayne Beaman, our close friend, and club Membership Chairman as well as an originating member of GOFASST, passed away on Sept. 12, 2009.  ..... Click to view ===>  Memorial Decal.

Our fond memories of Wayne Beaman will stay with our club members forever.  He was such a kind and generous "CAR GUY" and along with his wife Jo Ann as volunteers over the past years, we were blessed to have them both as active club members.

We will miss his spirit, his positive attitude, and his willingness to always show up, and participate in our events. How many times did you buy a raffle ticket from this guy?  He was a live dictionary of information when it came to repairs and mechanical problems and many club members benefited from his knowledge of cars.

He was a delight to have around.  His friendship was something we can all reflect on with great memories and joy.

The Memorial Service was our chance to say our Good-byes..  (See photos of flowers, etc. at bottom of page.)

A special "Thank You" go out to Wayne's wife Jo Ann and Wayne's brother Marty & family for
inviting our car club members along with the family to enjoy a chance to visit and share
stories of our old pal Wayne after the service. What a tribute to on great guy. Our best
wishes go out to Jo Ann and the Beaman kids. We loved him too!

Special Message from Mike Morgan - Denver: Colorado

First of all, let me say how sorry I am at the loss of Wayne, to Jo Ann, his family, and his many friends, of which I was fortunate enough to have been counted as one. I wish I could be here to deliver this in person and I greatly appreciate the willingness of Terry to do so on my behalf.

Wayne was one of the first friends I made when I joined GOFASST. He was always asking me how I was and had I done anything to my car lately! When the office of president opened up for the club, it was Wayne that nominated me (thanks, Wayne!) and he was a constant source of encouragement during my 4 ˝ years in that position. When it was time to go mark out the location for the tents and car rows for the Daytona show, Wayne was always my companion. He never hesitated to contribute in any way to the success of the show or the club. He was honored with the “RAZZOR” award because of his constant helpfulness to anyone that asked. I would, at times, stop by his house and have a drink with him out in the garage where I could admire his great collection of Impala parts! His sense of humor kept me from taking myself too seriously and I loved his stories of hot rodding in the glory days of his younger years. Most of you know what I’m talking about!

Wayne was a good friend and I will miss him. May God receive Wayne into His family and give comfort to those of us that mourn his loss.
