The transmission for the Pro-Street SS is a custom built Turbo 400 by

Sometimes known as a TH 400, this is being built as a race-capable 3 speed fully automatic transmission --- "old school" version, without any required computer controls or input.  In order to make this a truly streetable road-worthy tranny, a Gear Venders over-drive unit is being added.  This will make this bullet-proof tranny capable of traveling down the interstate at a reasonable RPM.

Our ultimate turbo 400 is specifically modified for use in 3200lb Pro Street cars with high horsepower engines.  This 400 has the performance, quality and reliability that we are famous for.  It is custom built to your application.  If you need a durable three speed automatic this is it! 

This transmission features:  High pressure pro-brake valve body, deep pan kit with brass screen filter, six clutch forward and direct packs, modified direct drum with 34 element sprag, roller bearing output shaft, trimmed case for clearance.
