Club Club Officers Present: Approximately 20 club members were present: CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order by Mike Morgan the acting
club President, at 7.35 p.m.9:15 EST at the monthly club meeting site. At the time of this meeting there were 19 members who had renewed their membership, and we had 6 new members join during the last two meetings. There are 26 old 2004 members who have not yet paid dues for the new year. Club By-Laws: The first order of business was to present the club members in attendance with a draft of proposed club By-Laws. President Morgan indicated that the draft was initially designed using the ISSCA (Impala SS Club of America) guidelines for regional clubs. Following a review of the primary by-law rules as outlined; A Motion was made by Gene Zebley for GOFASST to adopt the By-Laws as recommended. Terry Rodgers seconded the motion. A discussion was held and it was pointed out that the club name of GOFASST was the short name for the Greater Orlando Florida Area SUPER SPORT Team. With this clarification made and added to the By-Laws, the motion was confirmed and voted on and it passed with unanimous consent. Election of Officers confirmed: President Morgan suggested that confirmation of officers was recommended. While doing so, he also asked for any volunteers to take on the office of club Secretary. Following some discussion, it was determined that Terry Rodgers would be named the current club Secretary and would serve in this additional capacity until someone else might submit their name for consideration as a club officer. The officers who were elected for a one year term include: President & Event

Logo Hat Pins: It was suggested that Terry Rodgers find out if it would be viable to consider ordering some GOFASST logo hat pins for sale to our members. Adam Haack has some artwork that might be considered when and if the pins are designed and ordered. Club Yearly Activities: President Morgan reiterated that his goal was to create a calendar of events that will be scheduled during the year. He suggested that we consider moving our local gathering location and possibly join up with another car club in order to attract more participation and encourage more “car fun”. He will schedule more regular “MOD DAYS” during the year. One suggestion is to have a Mod Day in February at the home of Terry Rodgers. The initial reaction was positive with the idea of scheduling the day to install body bushings, tire rotations, oil changes, etc. to utilize the car lift at Terry’s place. The day of February 12, 2005, was initially selected but it may have to be confirmed depending on who and how many might be able to attend. A notice will be sent out to club members in the next couple of weeks to determine if the date as suggested will work out. Finally, President Morgan suggested that once about every quarter, GOFASST consider going to other club car show locations such as New Smyrna on Canal Street, or other out of town locations. The idea was presented and there was significant interest shown by the club members. In addition, the President of the Grand Nationals Car Club was invited to say a few words during our meeting. This was done in order for the members to consider going to the first Saturday of the Month Grand National show near our current location but in the Arby’s parking lot. Initially was determined that we would consider going there on February 5th, however due to some questions raised, this may be postponed until March 5th. The President will notify all GOFASST club members as to the actual dates and schedule for our monthly events. Regional Director – Director at Large (DAL): Mr. Gene Zebley, who was recently selected by the ISSCA board of directors to be the Region 13, (Florida) director at large, was asked to speak to our club. Gene introduced himself and asked that all GOFASST members please feel free to contact him directly to offer any ideas, concerns, or suggestions that he might present to the other ISSCA directors. Gene expects to be an active participant in many of the GOFASST activities this coming year. Adjournment: There being no additional topics for review at this time,
by motion from Eric Conklin, and a second by John Lepley, the members voted
unanimously to adjourn the meeting. Respectfully submitted by; |
