Larry Lype ......... a man of many talents and a car racing history like no one else in our club!

He has many nick-names as noted by various GOFASST members in the club, but the one that sticks out is:

"Public-Relations Wagon-Man"   ....  we think he knows everyone in the car show and racing businss.

He has two (2) B-Body wagons that he and his wife Cindy each drive daily, plus he has multiple "parts cars".

Below is a 2008 photo.... but he has added some new mod's since then...................

Larry is seldom at home in Port Orange, Florida ......

During 2009, he traveled to over 75 different major car shows in the country representing the Daytona Racing District seeking sponsorships and participation relationships with vendors from all over the Eastern part of the country.  He won awards at five (5) different Super Chevy Shows,  plus everything from Long Distance Awards,  Best B-body Wagon, and multiple other class awards during the past couple of years.  We have no idea where he stores his plagues but at least he has a wagon to carry them if necessary.

Larry also represents the Impala club community and particularly GOFASST , as he travels over 40,000 miles per year in his Blue B-Body Wagon.  Larry never meets a stranger ......... he knows almost every body in the car show and car racing business.  He always has a story to tell and rumors to share.

Prior to being the "PR Wagon-Man", Larry drove race cars at more circle tracks that most of us ever imagined.  Whether it was Bristol or Charlotte, Atlanta or Talledega, he has been there.  Some of us thing he may have had too many wrecks and broken bones to be walk'in around, and talking at the same time,  but Larry has more energy and enthusiasm than any two other GOFASST members put together.

At a recent show (2009 Emerald Coast Cruise --- in Panama City), the show judges forgot to judge my car and Larry found out about it and talked to the Show Coordinator to make sure my Impala Pro-Street was included.  Turns out that I won the "KOOl KAT Trophy" for Best in Show.   Larry is just that kind of guy ..... he looks out for any club member where ever he goes.

If you ever go to a sponsored car show and see a tall guy with a cap, talking, walking and smoking at the same time .... it is probably Larry Lype.  If you say Hello one time, you will probably have a friend for ever.
