Time to completely disassemble the car ....... Time to put final primer coat on (this is the 4th time the skin has been painted and sanded down to get the ....SMOOOOOOOTHEST ..... look we can get for the body.

ROTISSERIE  TIME ........ Bottoms-up !!!!

We now need to smooth-out the bottom side of the main body.  The only way to do it right is to roll it over so there is full access to every angle.

Naked FRAME ....... soon to be separated from all suspension parts so it can go to be powder-coated.

NOW some real visable progress ......PAINT ---  After 4 under-coats and rub downs, we have the 1st real PAINT on all the loose parts .... Doors, hood, trunk lid, bumpers, etc.  We have another coat of paint, then sanding, then 3 layers of 50% paint and 50% clear coat.  After each paint job it gets sanded and rubbed down with the final job completed when all the "orange peal" is gone.

So many things to get done ......

  1. Fix any mistakes, repair or re-design any part causing a problem, make sure everything fits, etc.
  2. Locate all speakers and create new speaker frame in the trunk space.
  3. Final fit the dash, final fit the windshield, complete the console design
  4. Check the A/C plumbing plan .. (we have a new Vintage Air system installed under the dash)
  5. Order all the fuel system parts .... now being done by ... Norris Motorsports (Mike Norris)
  6. Order all electrical systems including a new computer, etc.
  7. Order new high performance fuel pump, and fuel lines.
  8. Install the custom fuel cell .... we are using the stock gas cap location .... (per my request.)
  9. Order all the stainless steel fasteners, bolts, nuts, washers, etc. etc.
  10. Work on the interior pieces .... rebuild stock seats, customize rear seat, etc.
  11. Remove body and prepare for paint
  12. Disassemble entire frame and suspension .....prepare for powder coating.
  13. Send engine-bay parts and exhaust headers out to be Ceramic coated.

MANY, MANY, MORE .... but way too much for most folks to even think about ..... 
 but it this is a critical stage of the project.

I WANT THINGS TO FIT .... WHEN WE PUT IT BACK TOGETHER !
